Frequently Asked Questions

Many of our customers have specific questions about our professional steam services. Here are just a few of the frequently asked questions we hear at Clean Nest Co.

Cleaning times vary depending on the type of service, the size of the area or item, the level of soiling, and whether more than one service is booked. As a general guide, a single carpeted room, lounge, or standard upholstery item such as a sofa typically takes around 60–90 minutes. Tile and grout cleaning and curtain cleaning times vary significantly depending on surface area, fabric type, and condition. If multiple services are completed in the same visit, the appointment will take longer, and exact time frames cannot be guaranteed as we will stay on site until the work is completed to a high standard.
Drying times depend on the service, material, airflow, and weather conditions. Carpets and upholstery typically dry within 2–6 hours using our fast-drying equipment. Tile and grout areas are usually ready for use shortly after cleaning. Curtains vary depending on fabric type and ventilation. Good airflow will help speed up drying.
We recommend removing small items, breakables, and personal belongings before your appointment. For safety reasons, our team does not move large or heavy furniture. Any items left in place will be carefully cleaned around, and we will always do our best to access as much of the area as possible.
Yes. We use professional-grade cleaning products that are safe for children, pets, and office environments when used correctly.
We can treat most everyday stains, spills, pet accidents, and odours across carpets, upholstery, tiles, and curtains. However, stain and odour removal cannot be guaranteed, as results depend on the material, the type of stain, how long it has been present, and any previous cleaning attempts. We will always advise you honestly before proceeding.
Yes. We assess the fabric type, condition, and construction before selecting the most appropriate cleaning method. Some materials require low-moisture or encapsulation cleaning rather than full extraction to reduce risk. While we use best-practice methods, results may vary depending on age and condition.
